Program & Registration
The Creative Playhouse is built for kids ages 7–12 (our beta runs 6–11 by request). We split each week into two pods — Juniors (7–8) and Seniors (9–12) — so projects, pacing and presentation expectations match each age. Siblings and friends can be requested together on the registration form.
Each 5-day week follows our 'One Story, Many Tools' model — every child picks a personal story on Day 1 and builds it across photography, graphic design, videography, AI tools, and live presentation. By Friday they leave with a Creative Portfolio (storyboard, 5 edited photos, poster, short film, AI illustration) and a printed Certificate of Completion. Portfolios are AirDropped or emailed to parents on Showcase Day.
Sessions run 9:00 AM–3:30 PM. Each day has one creative focus (Story & Camera, Design, Video, AI, Showcase), with a structured 90-minute core lesson, snack and outdoor breaks, hands-on project time, and a daily share-out. Parents are invited to the final 30 minutes of Day 5 for the Showcase.
Fill out the consent & registration form on this page — you can select one or more weeks and check out in a single payment. Registration for each week closes the Wednesday before it starts, or earlier if the week sells out. Each week is capped at 24 kids to protect our instructor ratio. Early-bird pricing ends April 30, 2026.
Summer Camp Beta 2026 is $197 per week. We offer a 5% sibling discount and a 5% discount for the first 5 signups — apply a promo code at checkout. Cancellations 7+ days before the start date receive a full refund; within 7 days, 50% refund or full credit toward a future week. No refunds for no-shows.
Yes — early drop-off from 8:30 AM and late pick-up until 4:30 PM can be added at checkout for a small additional fee.
Safety, Logistics & Care
We run sessions in Milton and Oakville, Ontario. The exact venue is shared with registered families a week before the program starts. Kids just need themselves, a water bottle, and a nut-free snack — we provide iPads, cameras, tripods, art supplies and all the creative tools they'll use.
We keep a 1:6 instructor-to-child ratio so every kid gets real guidance. Every instructor has a current Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid + CPR-C certification, and child-safety training before stepping into a classroom.
The registration form captures allergies, medications and emergency contacts — we run a nut-aware environment and staff are trained to administer EpiPens. Parents sign children in and out daily; only authorized adults listed on your registration can collect your child, and photo ID may be requested.
We only use age-safe AI tools — Google Quick Draw and AutoDraw (no accounts, no data collected) — and any image generation (Adobe Firefly) is done on the teacher's projected account; kids never sign in. iPads run with app restrictions, camera + assigned app only, and devices are face-down whenever the instructor is teaching.
We follow PIPEDA. Personal info is used only for program administration and emergencies. Photo and video use is opt-in via the consent form and can be revoked any time. Your child's work is saved on teacher-managed accounts during the week and handed back to you on Showcase Day.
